Hey,
welcome back to Crafty Time 4U! I hope you have a great weekend and a good
start on this week!
Today I am sharing with you a card that I created for the Marker POP
Colorful Saturday post, so if you read the Marker POP blog, you probably
had seen this card already.
I was visiting some of the blogs that I regularly read, and I
came across this card from Shannon
McComb, in which she was trying this new Copic technique, that I called the
dotted Copic technique, and I thought, I need to try this, so I did! I got
these new Mama Elephant stamp sets, and decided to make a Father's Day card,
using the "dotted Copic technique" I hope you'll enjoy it. Thanks so
much Shannon for inspiring me!
All supplies are listed and linked below.
For this card I used the new Mama Elephant "
Woodland gifts" stamps and dies. I used the Copic dotted technique, which basically is adding dots of darker color to areas where normally you will add you darker shadows. After adding the dots you could go over with you medium tone and blended down if you wish, however, I didn't on the bear, because I like the effect that I achieve, I did on the bunny because I was looking for a more softer effect.
I masked the grass hill and the sky be cause I didn't want any more layers than the critters. Some of my mushrooms and other add on are on foam adhesive or directly adhered with liquid glue.
And here is the front view, I cut the front panel using scallop rectangle from the
"Creative Cuts Peek a Frame die set" the I added some sparkle to star and stamped the sentiment, which is a combination from the "Woodland Gifts" stamp set and the "Bear Hugs" stamp sets.
As an added treat I used the "
Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Pop Up Trio" to pop up some cute little critters in the
inside of the card, I love this sweet surprise! Then I stamped a custom sentiment, that I created using the Milo's ABC's stamp set, by Lawn Fawn
