Lawnscaping Challenge: Mini card

Hello everyone! I am back here with mini card that I created for the Lawnscaping Challenge No. 80

I created this card for my son; he is seven years old. He breaths, thinks and dreams airplanes! That is his favorite thing in the whole world. He designs and builds his own airplanes using paper, wood sticks, Legos or any other material he can think of. Our house is decorated with paper airplanes, and custom built airports are all over the basement and sometimes they make their way upstairs! (humm)

Any how I hope you like my mini card! My son loves it, and I really hope that he keeps dreaming big and that all of his big dreams come true!

One of the multiple decorative elements of my home!
Supplies used in this card:

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 79: Color pencils card!

Hey is Heidi here!. I received my crafty order yesterday and I stared to work right away on the new techniques that I wanted to try for Lawnsacping Challenge No. 79
The technique I am showcasing today is coloring with pencils. Oh yes color pencils! I was so excited to get to use coloring pencils again after so many years. It felt funny at the beginning since I am so used to markers, but as soon as I stared blending with gamsol I thought: Oh wow! It is pretty much about the same concept of coloring with markers. The gamsol dissolves the wax from the colors making them easy to blend. I only have twenty four color pencils so I did not have a lot of colors to combine,  but overall it was a great experience. I am glad I got to try it!
I will definitely keep working with color pencils.
The colors that I have in these card were chosen by my eight year old boy who  is into the castles, dragons, knights and that sort of things. he was also wondering why I was coloring with color pencils. I thought that was funny!
I am using the "Critters ever after" stamp set for the first time, and I had fallen in love with it! (really? as usual)
I hope you'll enjoy my card and I will be back this week with the last of the three techniques that I wanted to try for this great challenge.
I wont have any time to use my third entry because I had a test this afternoon and time is up for entries. I hope they"ll have this great challenge again soon. It encourages me to try new techniques!

I was not sure which background looked better, so I uploaded both pictures!
Your kind comments make my day!!!

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 79 - Quilted Card

Hello everybody Heidi here again! It is a very surprising thing as I usually don’t post this often. However, there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge No. 79 and this time I am going to try to use all of my entries, because the challenge is about new techniques. There are three new techniques I want to try. I hope I get to try the last technique that I had planned , because I don’t had the product just yet, but I had ordered  it, so I hope that I’ll receive it on time to enter my project in the challenge.

For my first entry I want o showcase a technique that I recently spot on a video of this great crafter who I follow on YouTube and usually read her blog: Dawn Macvey. I am going to link her video here so you know what inspired me to create this card.No-Sew Quilted Cards

As usual I twisted things a little bit I. I made my quilt as a panel for a white card base instead for the card itself, I embossed with an embossing folder instead of an impression plate or cutting plate. The reason why the impression looks so subtle is because I use a different sandwich, if you use the embossing folder as usual, the impression is going to be too sharp for the quilted look. So I have a  pictured of my sandwich bellow, and I hope it helps you to use embossing folders in a different way.
The palette of colors that I used for this card is a little too subtle, so I am steeping outside of my comfort zone, but hey! it's all about trying new things, right? Also I got inspired by quilt that was made by my mother in law, so I tried to find similars shades in the Lawn Fawn paper collections.  The papers that I used for this quilted card are from the "Hello Sunshine," "In to the woods," and even from the "Peace Joy Love" collections by Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from the "Critters at the Dog Park" also from Lawn Fawn.
I hope that I can keep working on the rest of my entries for this great challenge that encourage you to try new techniques. And I hope you’ll enjoy my card!
Have a great week!

Lawn Fawn Fawndamentals Note Cards

Hi! I hope you had a great week!
A little while back Lawn Fawn had a big release week and with release week comes prizes. This time I happened to be one of the lucky winners of one of the wonderful prizes they had for their fans.
I was very surprised as I had never before won anything from any sort of  randomly drawing.
In my short life as a crafter I had won few challenges, but never drawings, however, the big thing here is that I love Lawn Fawn products and wining a prize from them, makes me feel very lucky!
I had already received my prize and I love it!
So, I wanted to thank the Lawn Fawn team by creating a set of cards using, the prize that I got.
I got the Lawn Fawn Fawndamentals note cards and I love them! I love the colors, the size, and the thickness of the card stock material they are made of. I also love the fact that the inside of the cards is white, which  makes them great for writing with any color of pen or marker.
The card that I had created are like little circle window cards and I love that when you open the cards the inside is as pretty as the outside.
I hope you'll enjoy them!

I had taken a picture of each individual card so you can choose your favorite!
