Lawnscaping challenge No. 86 Watercoloring

Hi everybody!  Is Heidi here, with a new Lawnscaping Challenge. I am so excited about this challenge because it encouraged me to play with the water color technique a lot, and now I feel like I'm in love with water coloring.  It's a wonderful technique because in my opinion there's not really right or wrong.

For this challenge, I played with water colors in all the different ways that I possible could with the supplies that I have. For example I made different water color washes by sponging dye inks on water color paper, then spraying them with lots of water, moving the paper around, absorbing the excess of water with a paper towel and letting it dry on its own. I also colored some stamped images with distress markers and used a fine brush to apply water, move and blend the color along the stamped image. The other way I played with water color techniques was by applying some distress ink on the craft sheet, spraying with lots of water and using a brush to paint some strokes and splatter on the water color paper, which  is the technique that I used for today's card.

If you browse around my blog you'll find bold and bright colors along most of my cards, because I love color! for this challenge I have something different but I love it! I used the Dream stamp and dies by Lawn Fawn, I also die cut the feathers using vellum and placed them a little off  over the colored feathers, and finally I stamped the word "laugh and love inside card (not picture using Claire's abc's stamp also form Lawn Fawn.

I hope you'll enjoy this card as much as I do. All the supplies that I used are listed bellow.

Stamps: Dream, Claire's ABC's By Lawn Fawn,
Dies: Dream Lawncuts by Lawn Fawn
Inks:Tim Holtz Distress in peacock feathers, picked raspberry, mustard seed by Ranger; Versafine Onyx Black
Water color paper: Simon Says Stamp
Card base: White marshmallow cardstock by Bazzil
Others: craft sheet by Ranger, water spray bottle, small paint brushes (1 or 2), vellum, paper trimmer, die cut machine, bone folder, heat tool (optional); foam adhesive glossy accents ( a little dab to adhere the vellum feathers)
