It feels like Christmas here!

No I am not skipping fall! Fall is my favorite season of the year because of the colors of the trees and the weather is still nice. But here in Iowa, is getting cooler already. So this morning I have my copics on the dinner room table and I started coloring stamped images so I said lets make this images into a card and things started coming together pretty good and I got more into it, so I created this card. By the way, Christmas cards are my favorite cards to make! So here is my card and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy making it!

Definitely not a quick card, there are things that could be improved but I wanted to share it and I don't think I will be back to card making for couple of days because I have work to do for my college classes.

Back to Blogging and to the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge

I am so sorry for abandoning my blog for over a week, however, when I travel I have to do a lot planning and a lot of things had to be ready especially if I am going by myself because my husband has to do the things that I usually do, so I have to leave everything set up. I have to lay out every single outfit my son is going to wear, because unfortunately my husband has not idea of kid's clothing combination! (LOL, he is not the only one!)
I did travel to Seattle for my Copic Certification, I know Seattle if so far from Iowa but I have very good reasons to choose Seattle! any way, that it is a whole different story that I will cover on another post. (I will share some pictures of the awesome places I went.)
I did skip the last 10 Minute Craft Dash. http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/09/10-minute-craft-dash-26.html I was so ready for the new challenge, but the new challenge's color palette it was kind of hard for me! but this is what I came out with:

So, This Palette speaks winter, hollydays and Christmas to me!

This cards are very simple, most of the time I spent it heat embossing!

Mega page for Kenny's school

This week I did a mega scrapbook page. Every year the second graders at Kenny's school have to take pictures of their family, such pictures stay at school until they graduate from high school. This year is Kenny's turn since he is now a  second grader.
The mega page was provided by Kenny's teacher on the first day of school and it was due on September 3rd.
I wanted to do something interesting with the page other that just glue pictures and embellishments so I create a cloud mask. I love clouds and everything that has to do with clouds. If a paper collection has clouds, I have to have it! (LOL) I used the Little Boy Collection by Echo Park as inspiration and I used papers and other elements from this collection as well. So here is my mega page for Kenny's school and I hope you enjoy it:

I cut differet sizes of clouds on masking paper with the My Favorite Things clouds dies and used the blending tool from Tim Holtz and some ink to create the background.

 The airplane trail with twine!

I thought putting different colors on the photo corner will give it a more playful look!
