Happy Halloween!

Well Halloween is finally here! Kids from all over the world wait for this day so they can dress up and get lots of candy. I am here today to share my Halloween card of the month. I've made other Halloween cards this moth but this is for my son, so that makes it extra especial. I am posting it today, the 30th instead of tomorrow because people will be busy, so I want to make sure and get it out before Halloween.
I got inspired from the Lawn Fawn Product Catalog, I recently purchased all three of them. they had tones of ideas and you don't need to have all the products to create awesome cards and other craft projects
Here is the card  I hope you will enjoy it! Here is a link where you can purchase the catalogs http://www.lawnfawn.com/products/year-two-catalog

Craft Attack Monday: More Candy Tin Cans!

I created two more candy tin cans for my son's teachers. This time I use small soup cans and surprisingly they hold enough candy. I put about five fun size candy bars. That is plenty! Also I put some Halloween confetti. As I said on my older post, there is not right or wrong with this cans, you can decorate them to your own taste and use any size of can, as well as put any kind of goodies inside them. I replaced the lid using super glue but you don't  have to, I think Tombow Mono Multi Glue will work just fine because you just have to press hard to replace the lid or seal and it will hold on place.
I recommend this cans as gifts for adults instead of children because when you pull the tap to open the can, it is going to leave sharp edges, so children could cut their fingers. However, for adults is a very clever idea. If you want to use the can again then I recommend to use a can opener that takes all the seal off so you could use the can as pencil holder or such.
For complete instructions on how to make and decorate these cans, check the video from The Doodle Bug Designs blog. http://www.doodlebugblog.com/2013/10/soup-can-treat-containers.html

10 Minute Craft Dash and Big Announcement

I got in my mind that I wanted to create a non-Christmas card for this challenge.
I created a kid's birthday card, however, I think it would work for anybody!
Here it is:

And now for the  big announcement;

Starting November 25th I will be posting a holiday project, every day for 25 days. It is a series of holiday crafts projects that I hope would inspire you!
I will not start on December 1st (like advent should be) because most people are busy around this time and I imagine I will be busy as well (hopefully). Also From December 1st till the end of the series I will be reading a holiday book with my seven year old son and we will be watching a holiday movie every night till Christmas night. So along with my holiday craft project I will be posting the book that we will be reading and the movie that we will be watching. I am looking forward to this series of crafting and family fun!

In The Round Challenge Part Two

Peppermint Card Using the
Maraschino - Red & White Baker's Twine by The Twinery

Thank you so much for stopping by, I'll see you soon with more Crafty Time 4U!

In The Round Challenge

Hey There everyone! I've been busy crafting and also crafting ideas, plus I have been Halloween shopping for my son and my cat who did not like his costume (Do cats even like costumes?). Any how, I created two cards for the "In the Round Challenge" from the Twinery Blog. http://www.thetwineryblog.com/2013/10/new-challenge-in-round.html I am telling you, I am in love with twine and this particular brand. It is all I like, is not too thick, not too thing, the colors are intense, it does not come apart, it does not look rustic or tough. In other words is great. I don't buy it by the spools, I buy it by the small packages of 15 yards. There are two link badges in my side bard that will take you to couple of great stores where you can buy this twine! You won't regret it. (By the way, is made in The USA)
Now for the cards:

Wreath card using the Platinum Shimmer - Silver Metallic & Natural Baker's Twine by The Twinery and a bow made with Maraschino - Red & White Baker's Twine by the Twinery

Halloween Time!

Last week and this week as well I've been working on a lot of projects and seemed like it was Christmas time in my mind, so I said to myself: slow down Heidi let's live throughout of each season! So I started to work on halloween projects istead, and here are some of them I hope you enjoy them as I enjoyed working on them!

Fist one of my friend's son asked me to make him a bookmark, so I had my scraps from the last card I created for the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge http://www.hlcriswell.blogspot.com/2013/10/10-minute-craft-dash-halloween-time.html so you are going to see resemblance with the card because the bookmark is inspired by the card so you can say that it is lifted. And here it is"

Glittery Accents: The Wink of Stella Brush Pen (clear) by Zig
Card stock: Stampin' Up

This is my first non card, non scrapbook page I've done for the blog! However, that is basically the main thing I like to do. I love this project and I got the inspiration from one of the blogs that I follow. There is also a video of how to make these adorables tin cans, and one great thing about these cans is that there is not right or wrong! You can decorate these cans in whatever way you want to. I would recommend to use one collection so your tin can is all coordinated, but that's not really necessary so check out the link bellow and have fun!

10 Minute Craft Dash - Halloween Time

Wow it's October already, I can believe it! It has been an exciting week; one of my cards was one of the favorites for The 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge #26 and I was Winner of the Twinery Back to school challenge #0009 Yoohoo! Feels great!
I was so ready for this challenge, the color palette was posted on the Pretty Pink Posh Face Book page the day before and I was afraid that Paulina would said today, no Halloween cards, but thanks goodness that did not happen. Believed or not you can create non-Halloween cards with this palette, if you don't believe me head to Paulina's blog and find out for yourself. http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/10/10-minute-craft-dash-27.html
So here are the cards that I created for this challenge:
These are great cards to use your scraps, I did not cut the orange piece, they were already scraps, I just cut the knoch to make a banner like, so you can see that the banner is different in size on each of the cards. Both are pretty much the same, however, the orientation of the banners is different on each card so you can choose what you like best.
Both pieces, the Boo and the Too Cute to Spook sentiments are pre made so I just have to adhere them. The Boo is from Doodle Bug design and the To Cute to Spook is from the Bella Boulevard paper Collection of the same name.

I didn't time myself for the second card because the pieces, included the card itself, were already leftover from the first card and I also stamped two times the first time. No fancy coloring with the Copic markers just highlighting with grey and color over the red part of the cape, done!

Thanks to everybody who stops by!
