Advent Holiday Craft Series Day 24 - Purry Christmas

Welcome to the 24th day of the Advent Holiday Craft Series. On day 21, we had a Merry Puppy card, and today we will have a Purry Christmas. But before we move on to the card, I will share with you the book and movie for day twenty-four.

Today's book is "The Night Before Christmas," a poem by Clement Moore.

The Polar Express, a film by Robert Zemeckis, is my favorite Christmas movie ever. I love this movie for multiple reasons. I adore the book, the story, the animation, the overall concept, and of course, Tom Hanks's acting.

For the 24th day, I crafted a card inspired by my cat, which I plan to send to my sister-in-law, who shares my passion for cats. I have a fondness for cats, dogs, and all other animals.

Advent Holiday Craft Series Days 23- Scrabble Christmas Card

Welcome to Days 23 of the Advent Holiday Craft Series! Even though this craft series hasn't gone as I planned, I think I have accomplished a huge amount of crafting and also made great use of the supplies that I have on hand, which was one of my goals.
Last couple of nights we had so much fun watching movies and reading Christmas books.

The book for day 23 is, "Night Before the Night Before Christmas" by Natasha Wing.

Day 23's film is George Seaton's Miracle on 24th Street.

For day 23, I created a Christmas card using scrabble-like pieces made with wood veneer paper from Simon Says Stamp.

Advent Holiday Craft Series Day 21 and 22 - Lawn Fawn Christmas Cards

OMG! What a week, new baby in the family, Christmas program at school, basketball, cookie making (all week), finishing Christmas shopping, trying to get ready for my trip and getting ready for company. I am not complaining though, it's all good and it's part of the fun of the winter holidays.

Now, to today's post which is combining two days day twenty-one and day twenty-two.
The movie for day twenty one is:  Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas directed by Ron Howard.

The book for day twenty one is:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss

For day twenty's craft I have a card made with Lawn Fawn products. This year I am fascinated by the combination of black, green and red in Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love collection.

The movie for day twenty two is Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, directed it by Larry Roemer. This is a Christmas classic from 1964 that had been remastered and enhanced. I created this card because we have a new puppy this year. It is my son's Christmas present but we got it earlier because the pups were ready for their new homes. So this year we are having a merry puppy Christmas!

The book for day twenty two is: Bear Stays Up For Christmas by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman

Last but not least the craft for day twenty two: another card using more Lawn Fawn Stamps (love them)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Advent Holiday Craft Series days 19 and 20 - Christmas Tags

This morning my son and I were wrapping Christmas presents and I realized that we need tags for our presents so I started to work on them right away.
The book that I have for day nineteen is Olivia Helps with Christmas by Ian Falconer.

The Movie for day nineteen is: The Santa Clause, a Disney movie directed by John Pasquin.

For the craft I have a set of tags that I created for my family's Christmas presents

Keeping up with combining days, this is what I had prepared for day 20 of the Advent Holiday Craft Series:
The book for day twenty is: The Best Christmas Present Ever by Richard Scarry.

The movie for day twenty is: The Santa Clause 2 a Disney movie directed by Michael Lembeck

For day twenty I have more tags, I am trying to have enough for all the presents. I'll probably have to come up with more.

I hope you'll enjoy everything that I had prepared for day nineteen and day twenty of the Advent Holiday Craft Series.

Advent Holiday Craft Series Day 14 and 15 - Cards

Welcome to day 14 and 15 of my Advent Holiday Craft Series. I had decided to combine two days because I took two days off from this holiday series. I was so busy doing some shopping and other holiday related tasks. (I had learned and next year I will plan accordingly) So day fourteen was Tuesday and I we read A Merry Bunny Christmas by Rosemary Wells and watched A Merry Bunny Christmas based in the books by Rosemary Wells produced by Nick Jr.
For the craft I created a card using the same paper collection from Martha Stewart Holidays that I used on day six.

I will probably combine more days of this holiday craft series to get it over quickly so I can dedicate more time to the holiday's preparations and for a trip that I am planning for the end of the year. I am going to spend New Year's Eve and the first two weeks of the new year with my family so I am really excited and busy, however, very happy to be able to share and keep crafting this season!

Now for day fifteen (Wednesday) of the Holiday Craft series we read Arthur's Perfect Christmas By Mark Brown. I have to say that this story is one of our favorites! The family values and the respect for other people's traditions that it enhances are great for children to learn. We also watch the movie with the same title Arthur's Perfect Christmas based on the book by Mark Brown for PBS kids.
For the craft I created another card, very simple and easy to make I hope you'll enjoy everything that we had for day 14 and 15 of the Advent Holiday Craft Series.
