Back to School Scrapbook Page

Hi, everybody! This week has been crazy, my son is back to school and so am I.
I decided to take on a new challenge:http://www.thetwineryblog.com/2013/08/brand-new-back-to-school-bus-challenge.html

This is a challenge for me because I am not an expert on scrapbook pages, in fact I never do scrapbook pages, ( I am more into the cards and gift bags and boxes) however, I thought, to incorporate a cute element with twine maybe I should try a layout. Also because I am not a big fan of the color yellow and I did not even have yellow twine to begin with.  So I ordered "The Twinery Marigold Twine" from one of my favorite online stores: http://www.acherryontop.com/shop/company/the_twinery/161096 (I think I ordered on Sunday, and it got here this morning) Coming to find out, the Twinery Marygold twine is so cute! the yellow color is intense and bright so you can see it and the quality of the twine is great as usual (made in the USA), so I do recommend it.
And here is my project using The Twinery Marigold Twine and the back to school theme:

I am working on getting me a tripod so I can start filming videos and show you how easy and fun was to create this sun with The Twinery Marigold twine.
I hope you like it and share it! I did enjoy working on it and now The Twinery Marygold twine is one of my favorites!

Ten Minute Craft Dash New Challenge

Hi!
This week The Pretty Pink Posh Blog (http://prettypinkposh.com/) has a new challenge:

I love this kind of challenges, maybe I am the type of person who works great under pressure. I don't know, but I love to do it. The last 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge was my first one ever and I did enjoy it. So here is for my second challenge, and I hope this time I can grab that cute web badge!
For this challenge I created  a card using the given colors (pink, orange and blue)
Here it is:

Supplies:
Blue Card stock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: Lawn Fawn
Pink Card stock: Stampin Up
Washi Tape and Twine: Doodle Bug Designs
Button: Stampin Up
Die cut Hello: Sizzix
Die cut flower: Stampin Up (Sizzix)
Brown Ink: Stampin Up
Pink ink: Ranger Tim Holtz
Adhesive: Xiron/ Tombow

Note:
Maybe I could have a better times, however I had little trouble with my Big Shot and my Xiron make a sticker machine, which is what I usually use to adhere little detailed die cut pieces so I have to use my Tombow Mono Multi, and that added a little more time. But still within the range!

Back to School Week And New Card!

This week started very busy, my son starts school tomorrow again. I cannot believe he is a second grader already.

Anyhow, I did work at his school the last two years, however, this year I am going to dedicate
to be a full time student, full time mom and full time crafter, so I had to give up something. I do enjoy working at the school so
this year I will volunteer on my free time. I had great two years at school thanks to the teachers  who worked with me. At the end of the school year, this last May everything was crazy busy so I could not thank her. She is truly a fantastic person! That is why I made this card for her.
I got inspired by a post from one of my favorite blogs: "The Lawn Fawn blog" ( http://www.lawnfawn.blogspot.com/search/label/Dewey%20Decimal?updated-max=2012-10-05T00:00:00-07:00&max-results=20&start=28&by-date=false )

And here is the card:

Birthday Card with Copic Markers

Hi! I am back today (estrange) because my niece Sandra, asked me to create a card for her boyfriend's birthday. Featuring teddy bears. (I am sure she had a reason for that.)
I love Copic Markers and I love to color with them. I don't have a tremendous amount of experience but I am working on it, in fact I will be taking the Copic Certification Class in September. So this is what I came out with. (Bottom line, Sandra loved it!)
I hope you love it too!
Thanks for stopping.

10 Minutes Easy Thank You Note!

Last Week I participated in my firts challenge with the 10 minute Craft Dash http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/08/10-minute-craft-dash-birthday-bash.html
and I confess that I love it. It made me feel so great to be able to upload a card onto a website and have the ladies stopping by my blog and leave such kind and cute comments about my cards. Thanks to all of them.
For this week I have to send a thank you note to a lady who did something special for me so I thought of the 10 minute Craft Dash Challenge, and since I am always out of time I create a very quick thank you note. Here it is:

Ten Minute Craft Dash Challenge

Since I am finally settled in my new home and I organized my craft supplies, I can start participating in challenges from the blogs I follow. So here is the first one: The Ten Minute Craft Dash, featuring birthday theme.
I also got inspired by Paulina's blog, Pretty Pink Posh ( http://prettypinkposh.com ) so for my card today I am using the color pink. Here it is:

The second card I created for my husband's birthday it took me less time than the first one!
I enjoyed this challenge
