Lawnscaping challenge No. 86 Watercoloring

Hi everybody!  Is Heidi here, with a new Lawnscaping Challenge. I am so excited about this challenge because it encouraged me to play with the water color technique a lot, and now I feel like I'm in love with water coloring.  It's a wonderful technique because in my opinion there's not really right or wrong.

For this challenge, I played with water colors in all the different ways that I possible could with the supplies that I have. For example I made different water color washes by sponging dye inks on water color paper, then spraying them with lots of water, moving the paper around, absorbing the excess of water with a paper towel and letting it dry on its own. I also colored some stamped images with distress markers and used a fine brush to apply water, move and blend the color along the stamped image. The other way I played with water color techniques was by applying some distress ink on the craft sheet, spraying with lots of water and using a brush to paint some strokes and splatter on the water color paper, which  is the technique that I used for today's card.

If you browse around my blog you'll find bold and bright colors along most of my cards, because I love color! for this challenge I have something different but I love it! I used the Dream stamp and dies by Lawn Fawn, I also die cut the feathers using vellum and placed them a little off  over the colored feathers, and finally I stamped the word "laugh and love inside card (not picture using Claire's abc's stamp also form Lawn Fawn.

I hope you'll enjoy this card as much as I do. All the supplies that I used are listed bellow.

Stamps: Dream, Claire's ABC's By Lawn Fawn,

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 85 Summer Color Combo

Hey! It’s Heidi here, and I am so glad to be back to blogging after a big break, which I am going to call “World cup brake” since I’ve been watching the Brazil 2014 World Cup! I am a big futbol fan or soccer as is commonly known in the United States. I was born and raised in South America, so futbol is big part of our culture. Every four years, we love to watch the world cup because the world's best teams meet and we get to see great games and great things! (Occasionally, some bad things as well.) Today was the last game and Germany was the well deserved champion! Congratulations for the Germans!
Mean while in the crafting world: I am very glad to get back to my craft room to create a card for one of my favorite challenges, The Lawnscaping Challenge, which this time is about creating a card or a craft project using the given color palette. I got a few new products, (mostly from Lawn Fawn) so I am very excited to use them! For me this challenge is also about using a new technique: embossing paste. Yep it’s been out for a while but I hadn’t had the opportunity to use it, till now.
I really enjoyed making this card; I actually made two of them! It’s so fun to work with inks and using the blending tool, then get to use the embossing paste with stencils, and finally die cutting, which is one of my favorite paper crafting techniques! I hope you’ll really like this card!

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 83 - Embossing

Hi there everyone! Heidi here with a new Lawnsacaping Challenge, this time is about embossing dry or heat. Honestly I was never into embossing but I finally realized why. It was because I didn't have a good heating gun, the results were never pleasing to me, and I was trying hard not to use embossing on any of my projects. Well now I got a better heating tool, that works great so things are going better now with embossing! Yay!!!
So for this challenge I created a card using heat embossing on vellum ( something I had not done before) also colored stamped images with Copic markers and added a little dimension, which I found a little hard to do with vellum, fortunately I found this clear foam tape, it helps a lot.
Any way I hope you'll like this card and have a happy week!!!

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 82 - Teacher gifts!

Hey! Heidi here this week with another Lawnscaping challenge This time is all about distressing, so I thought I would take this opportunity to make some gifts to my son's teachers, incorporating this fun technique.
Yesterday was the last day of school, and even though I am very happy to have my son here at home with me, I am sad that the time is going so fast and he is breezing through school! I wish he would stay little, however, I am glad he is growing and succeeding at school!!! I am so thankful for that!!!

I created two gift bags using the Lawn fawn stamp set  "A Good Apple," and the chalk distreassing technique. I used it two different ways, with embossing and with just stamping! ether way works great. I put some nail polish and other nail accesories in, also some chocolate.
I'll hope you enjoy them!

Lawnscaping Challenge: Mini card

Hello everyone! I am back here with mini card that I created for the Lawnscaping Challenge No. 80

I created this card for my son; he is seven years old. He breaths, thinks and dreams airplanes! That is his favorite thing in the whole world. He designs and builds his own airplanes using paper, wood sticks, Legos or any other material he can think of. Our house is decorated with paper airplanes, and custom built airports are all over the basement and sometimes they make their way upstairs! (humm)

Any how I hope you like my mini card! My son loves it, and I really hope that he keeps dreaming big and that all of his big dreams come true!
